Today, GIANTS Software announced that Farming Simulator 25 has officially surpassed 5 million copies sold worldwide since its launch on November 12, 2024, marking another major milestone for the long-running farming simulation series and its growing community of players.
The announcement comes ahead of gamescom, where GIANTS Software will let fans meet the developers, take part in interactive stage shows, compete in Bale Race events, and get hands-on with upcoming content for the first time.

It’s remarkable to see so many new farmers joining our community,” said Boris Stefan, CSO and Head of Publishing at GIANTS Software, as the publisher celebrated the continued growth of Farming Simulator while looking ahead to Beans & Alpacas. The upcoming expansion will introduce new crops, animals, equipment, and gameplay systems inspired by agriculture in South America, giving players additional ways to develop and manage their virtual farms.
One of the expansion’s key additions is a dedicated banana cultivation system that lets players design their plantations, set up rail systems by choosing rail counts and directions, and place washing stations to process their harvests. The new system adds another layer of farm management, requiring players to carefully plan their plantations and production setup before they can begin processing bananas.
Beans & Alpacas will also introduce fungicides, giving players another tool for managing plant diseases that can affect banana crops, while bananas themselves can either be harvested manually with a machete or collected automatically with the help of hired workers. On the new Catuaí map, farmers can also plant and harvest bananas year-round, providing a consistent new source of agricultural production.
Farming Simulator 25: Beans & Alpacas will be playable at gamescom in Cologne, Germany, from August 26 to 30, with GIANTS Software located in Hall 6 alongside a broad playable lineup that includes the upcoming expansion, Farming Simulator: Signature Edition for Nintendo Switch 2, Farming Simulator 26 for mobile devices, and Project Motor Racing.
During gamescom, GIANTS Software will host Bale Race competitions, giveaways featuring popular Farming Simulator straw hats, and presentations with additional information about Beans & Alpacas, and will also welcome partners, media representatives, and other industry contacts at its dedicated business booth, B42, in Hall 4.2.
Farming Simulator 25 is currently available on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, while Beans & Alpacas is scheduled to launch on October 27 as either a standalone expansion or as part of an edition that includes the base game. Pre-orders are available through selected channels, and the expansion is also included in the Year 2 Season Pass, which offers savings of up to 30 percent compared with purchasing the included content separately.
GIANTS Software will continue supporting Farming Simulator 25 with free content updates and user-generated content through the official ModHub, giving players additional ways to expand their farms, introduce new equipment and content, and customize their farming experience.
