Mobile International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator Gets New Screenshots and Dev Update

Drzewiecki Design released new screenshots and a development update of Mobile International Airport (KBFM) in Alabama, United States.

We also get the usual brief development update.

“Development of KBFM Mobile International Airport for MSFS continues with visible progress across key areas of the airport.

The hangar set is now reaching a more advanced stage, with detailed texturing, added geometry, and parallax elements being finalized. These buildings are now close to export and in-sim placement. At the same time, work has begun on the main terminal and parking complex, with initial exports already tested to verify fit and integration within the scenery.

The airport environment is expanding with new Airbus factory technical buildings and car rental facilities, while warehouse and military structures have been completed and refined, adding depth to the airport’s industrial surroundings.

Ground work is also progressing steadily. Parking areas have been completed with proper markings and vehicles, while underlying surfaces are being refined to ensure clean integration. Additional environmental elements such as grass coverage and approach lighting infrastructure (including supporting structures) are now being introduced. New auxiliary buildings are also starting to appear across the airport.

The project is now clearly transitioning from core modeling into placement, integration, and environment refinement.”
