Airbus A350 for MSFS by Rhodiumcode Gets New Screenshots and Details

Microsoft Flight Simulator A350

Indie developer Rhodiumcode revealed more details and screenshots about its Airbus A350 on its Discord server.

The project was started in April 2023, and it’s currently in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. MSFS 2024 support is planned and will come before beta testing starts.

The aircraft will release with the -900 version only (although further versions afterward are not excluded) and will be payware.

The majority of the three years in development have been spent on coding. The autopilot and fly-by-wire are custom, and the systems are modeled down to components (actually starting with the components), like switches or pipes that are combined in more complex elements like generators, which are then used to create the systems.

Speaking of models, the most complete part of the plane is the cockpit. Nearly every switch, button, and knob is modeled and textured, with some final touches still to be done.

The cabin is planned, but no work has been done on it yet. Sounds remain to be worked on as well.
