Every player who logs in will notice the free update content. Special Hunter Challenges give players daily and weekly goals for in-game currency. Photo challenges are also back with the update. Plus, there are two new “Great Ones,” a Pheasant and Red Fox. Players can also now customize their dog skills, combining two companions’ skills into one.

As for the premium DLC, there were three released today: Salzwiesen Park, German Shorthaired Pointer, and Hunters’ Choice: Bolt-Action Rifle Pack.

Salzwiesen Park adds a new Compact Hunting Experience where players can head to Schleswig-Holstein, which is near the border of Northern Germany and Denmark. It’s one of the best waterfowl hunting spots, and the area has a high animal density and species diversity. In fact, there are 15 different species to hunt, including the new Gadwall and Ferruginous Duck.

The DLC also adds a new Clay Shooting Range for practicing and competing with other players. Plus, the GOPI 10G Grand Shotgun is also part of the DLC. Players can watch a trailer for the DLC below:

The German Shorthaired Pointer DLC was also released today, and it unlocks the dog breed. The German Shorthaired Pointer is a classic hunting dog, and they’ll help players track down animals by pointing them in the right direction.

Combined with the free skill customization content update, this skill can be used with other skills to be super useful. Players can watch the trailer for the dog DLC below:

Last but not least is the Hunters’ Choice: Bolt-Action Rifle pack DLC. It unlocks three bolt-action rifles that were created by players: Vallgarda .375, Johansson .450, and Fors Elite .300.

Players can check out the trailer for them here:

The DLCs for theHunter: Call of the Wild can be purchased together for $15.99 until January 31, 2025. Individually, they’re priced as follows:

  • Salzwiesen Park: $6.99
  • German Shorthaired Pointer: $5.99
