Today, tox² interactive GmbH and Aerosoft released the Heavy Cargo – The Truck Simulator Heavy South DLC and a major free 1.3.0 update.
Heavy Cargo – The Truck Simulator: Heavy South adds challenging mountain roads for oversized freight transport, along with 31 new heavy and super-heavy missions. Players can haul over 20 new cargo types and deliver to six new locations, including an aircraft factory, river port, sawmill, freight yard, marina, and mining museum.
Economy Mode receives new procedural mission combinations, and a new route mission type lets players use their crane to clear disabled vehicles from the road before continuing deliveries.
The expanded cargo roster features aircraft components, railcars, boats, mining equipment, forestry machinery, and agricultural vehicles, increasing mission variety across the new mountainous region. Heavy Cargo – The Truck Simulator 1.3.0 update is just as impressive, marking the game’s biggest free update since its October 2024 launch.
The update also improves visuals with denser vegetation, updated textures, enhanced lighting for more realistic environments, and a virtual right-side mirror, a top community request. Other improvements coming alongside the Heavy Cargo – The Truck Simulator update include:

- Improved gear shifting across all vehicles

Developed in collaboration with logistics company Gruber Logistics, Heavy Cargo focuses on realistic oversized freight transport across a 175 km² open world. Players scout routes, remove obstacles, operate cranes, and transport massive cargo through changing weather, mountain passes, highways, towns, and industrial areas.
Heavy South DLC also adds a new southern mountain region with more demanding routes and larger logistics challenges. Heavy Cargo – The Truck Simulator: The Heavy South DLC and the free 1.3.0 update are available now for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
