Today, Enthariel Games launched the public playtest for their brand-new monster collector, The Sky Project: Land of Noris, along with a new trailer. Additionally, the studio is beginning the Kickstarter campaign for the game next week on October 13.
The Sky Project: Land of Noris is a hand-drawn monster collection game with 3 vs 3 battles and permadeath mechanics where every tactical decision matters. There’s an emphasis on exploration with a vertical world and over 200 unique creatures called Noris to collect. Players take on the role of Kael, a Celestial whose life gets turned upside down and must forge a pact with a Nori in order to embark on a life-changing journey.
The first playtest for the game launched on Steam today, allowing players to try out the first few hours of the game. The playtest includes the entirety of Celestia, which is one of the four planes in the full game, as well as the area’s final boss. The four planes are stacked on top of each other and are filled with cities, villages, and dungeons, and each has its own set of characters to meet. Celestia has over 60 Noris to discover, which can be captured and evolved to prepare them for the challenges the player will face.
Along with exploring Celestia and capturing Noris, the playtest includes fully voiced cutscenes and a sample of the soundtrack, which is composed by Spanish pianist Elesky.
You can watch the trailer for the playtest below, and you can head over to Steam to join the playtest.
If you tried out the playtest and think the game is worth backing, you can find the official Kickstarter for The Sky Project: Land of Noris right here. As a reminder, the funding campaign launches on October 13, but you can choose to be notified when it opens. The game is planned to eventually release on PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
