Tales of Seikyu is a farming/life simulation game set in a fantasy world focused on yokai. The main character and their sister, who are ancestors of the Fox Clan, move to Seikyu to get away from the world of the humans.

There, players will take over the passed-down farmhouse and adjust to village life with tons of different villagers who have their own magical ancestries. The village is full of colorful characters to befriend and romance. There are also festivals and quests to do in town.

At the farm, players will morph into different yokai forms to do farm work, such as quickly flattening land. These forms will also help players adventure around, with skills like diving and flying.

Players can also look forward to customizing their character and their farm. There’s also foraging and cooking to do, too.

Fireshine Games (who recently welcomed Brian Foote as CEO) also unveiled the Tales of Seikyu Early Access release date trailer, which fans can view below:

Tales of Seikyu will hit early access on PC on May 21, 2025. For players who enjoyed the game during the Steam Next Fest earlier this year, an exclusive in-game reward will be available in their mailbox.

As previously stated, players will be able to carry over their progress from the demo to Early Access.

Katie Clark, the Senior Product Manager at Fireshine Games, shared a bit about the Early Access launch:

“We can’t wait for players to discover the magical world of Tales of Seikyu later this month and take their first steps into this fantastical new life sim. Right from the start of Early Access, players will have a huge amount of content to explore, including the opening story quests, farming, house decoration, celebrating at the Carp Festival, blossoming relationships with 6 romanceable characters, and much, much more. And this is just the start. We have huge content updates planned throughout Early Access, introducing brand new story quests, additional romance partners, new Yokai transformations, major new gameplay features and lots more exciting new content. We are so excited for Tales of Seikyu’s incredible community to join us on the game’s journey through Early Access.”
