Honkai Star Rail Version 2.6 Revealed With Release Date, New Character, and More

Today HoYoverse fully revealed version 2.6 of its popular turn-based RPG Honkai: Star Rail, including the release date. 4

We learn that it will be titled “Annals of Pinecany’s Mappou Age” and it’ll be released on October 23.

Among its primary features is a single new five-star character, Rappa, a Galaxy Ranger fighting with Imaginary element and following the path of Erudition.

The update will prompt players to visit Penacony’s well-respected Paperfold University as auditing students, just in time for the start of a new semester and the anniversary celebrations. This will give the trailblazer a chance to enjoy some well-deserved school life and forge new relationships.

Since Rappa is the only new character, she’ll be accompanied by three returning 5-star characters split in the usual two event warp cycles, Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae, Acheron, and Aventurine.

The third Simulated Universe DLC is also coming, titled “Unknowable Domain” and officially described as follows.

“It was initially simulating the Scholars’ Strife, a post-Second Emperor’s War event where scholarly factions battled for control of Emperor Rubert II’s legacy — the Scepter system. The Scepter, a cluster of inorganic bionic neurons, served as Rubert II’s external thinking unit with immense processing power.

In this Simulated Universe update, Trailblazers will start by collecting Scepters and enhancing them with Components to strengthen their abilities. As the game progresses, players can strategically combine multiple Scepters and Components to unlock powerful synergies, eventually defeating a formidable final foe.”
