HoYoverse has announced Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5, “To Roll the Stars in Astropolis,” and its release date. The new update will launch later this month on August 26, 2026.
The story picks up right after the Express crew’s victory over Lord Ravager Asat Pramad, but the celebration doesn’t last long. The Voracity now makes their debut, throwing Planarcadia into a life-threatening crisis. In order for the Trailblazers to find the strength to help Planarcadia survive, they must attempt to make their way to Astropolis, the headquarters of the Interastral Peace Entertainment. Once there, players will have to work through the hierarchy of upper management to find a way to help Planarcadia survive. It’s not all high stakes, though; the Trailblazer also gets to enjoy a lighter side of the update, taking an interstellar getaway in Astropolis alongside some new characters.
Joining the playable roster in this version are two limited 5-star characters, Robin • Summeretto (Remembrance: Wind) and Aventurine • Waveflair (Elation: Quantum). Additionally, the limited 5-star characters Hyacine and Ashveil will appear in the Warp events. Hyacine will be featured in the first half of the version, and Ashveil will be featured in the second half, giving players fresh options to use along their journey.
Beyond the story and character additions, HoYoverse revealed a new partnership with MOONDROP. Fans can expect Sparxie-themed merchandise along with a mix of both online and in-person events rolling out globally, with more information to be shared soon. Later this year, Honkai: Star Rail will also be collaborating with Zenless Zone Zero, bringing familiar characters into the game on a cosmic adventure.
