Microsoft released another video focusing on the Japanese setting of Forza Horizon 6, focusing on the south-western island of Kyushu.
Like the previous episode, the episode is presented by famous car photographer Larry Chen, this time exploring the area alongside artist Kazuhisa Uragami. Incidentally, we also get to see a piece of his art in the game itself.
They’re driving a Honda Civic Type-R, and while the majority of the video is live-action, there are also some segments of Forza Horizon 6 gameplay showing the car and the environment.
I’m not gonna lie, I’m a bit weirded out to see Tokyo’s Skyline (or at least what is intended to be Tokyo’s skyline) in a video about Kyushu.
You can check out the video below.
Forza Horizon 6 will release for PC and Xbox Series X|S on May 19, 2026. A PS5 version has also been announced, but it’ll come at a later time within 2026. A precise release date for the PS5 version has not been announced.
The game that was officially revealed back in September 2025 to celebrate Tokyo Game Show 2025 will finally bring the franchise to Japan, a setting that has been requested by fans pretty much since the first Forza Horizon showcased the potential of open-world racing games.
If you’d like to see more, you can also check out the coverage of the latest Developer Direct, which showcased the first gameplay, a look at the Toyota Land Cruiser, and the prologue of the game.
You can also enjoy a longer documentary introducing Tohoku, one of the locations of the game. Another one will follow, featuring Kanto.
If you’re interested in the PC version, you can check out the system requirements.
