Back in November 2024, Farming Simulator 25 crossed an impressive threshold for copies sold, setting a series record of 2 million copies sold worldwide in just its first week. Today, GIANTS Software revealed those numbers just keep on climbing, as the latest installment in the hit franchise just passed 3 million units sold.
When commenting on the success, GIANTS Software CSO & Head of Publishing Boris Stefan credited the fans while also teasing what is to come.
“Three million virtual farmers already – incredible! The continued growth of Farming Simulator and its unique, dedicated community is a testament to the shared passion of both players and us at GIANTS Software being stronger than ever. We couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead. Spoiler: there’s a lot more coming!”
Yesterday, Farming Simulator 25 released a roadmap for the next two quarters worth of content, which is set to include the release of Farming Simulator VR, Precision Farming, fan-favorite map remasters and plenty of quality-of-life updates. Three new packs and one heavy expansion (all included in the Year 1 Season Pass) are also on the horizon over the course of 2025, and the first pack will be revealeld soon.
The series has had a huge impact on the simulation genre since the first game was released back in 2008. Across eight mainline titles and five mobiel games, the franchise has sold over 25 million copies combined and had 90 million mobile downloads.
Farming Simulator 25 is available now for PC, Mac, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S starting at a price of $49.99 – not including the additional DLC options and bundles. If you’re a big fan of the series and can make it to Kundl, Austria, tickets for FarmCon 25 – which will feature an exclusive Q&A presentation with farm sim influencers – are on sale now ahead of its July 5-6 event date.
