Today, Pearl Abyss showed off the final features overview for its highly anticipated upcoming open-world action-adventure game, Crimson Desert.
The latest video offers a closer look at daily life across the Pywel continent, including town activities, cooking, hunting, gathering, and customization. Players will have plenty of wilderness resources at their disposal, as Killf can fish and hunt to gather cooking ingredients, collect flowers and insects for use in alchemy, and obtain materials for crafting and equipment enhancement through gathering and mining.
Using these resources, you’ll be able to return to the Greymane Camp in Hernand, where you can not only cook and craft materials found while exploring, but also manage farms and ranches to create valuable resources of your own. The camp features vendors offering unique supplies and lets reunited companions be dispatched on missions to acquire resources such as timber and ore.
Pywel also boasts many unique cities and villages to explore, each home to blacksmiths, tailors, merchants, and residents in need of assistance. NPCs will even react to harmful player actions, becoming hostile or issuing bounties depending on behavior.
For those who may not have heard of Crimson Desert, it is an open-world action-adventure game that places players in the shoes of The Greymane Kliff, who is determined to reunite with his surviving comrades and rebuild what was lost after a devastating ambush on his group. On a journey where alliances are forged, dangers abound, and mysterious factions are uncovered, Kliff comes to realize that an unprecedented threat and a destiny greater than he imagined await him.
Crimson Desert is set to release for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Apple Mac on March 19, 2025.
