Today, SCS Software released a new gallery of images and details about the Iowa DLC coming for American Truck Simulator.
Specifically, we get to see some of the settlements included in the DLC, of which there are over 15.
We get to see Atlantic, the “Cola Capital of Iowa,” Clear Lake, Eddyville, Sharon, Osceola, Oskaloosa, Spencer (known for the Clay County Fair), and the tiny town of Welton with its 121-strong population.
There’s certainly a lot of variety in the DLC, from bigger to smaller settlements, and each has its own charm and landmarks to discover as you cruise along in your truck.
You can see the full gallery below and see if the screenshots tempt you to visit Iowa and its towns.

American Truck Simulator is available exclusively for PC, and it’s the sister game to Euro Truck Simulator 2. Update 1.54 has recently been released with new features and improvements.
If you’d like to see more of Iowa, you can check out its truck stops, more towns, and Road Network. At the moment, a release date has not been announced for this DLC. SCS usually doesn’t announce dates until the release is very close.
SCS Software also recently announced Louisiana (alongside its truck stops and welcome centers) and Illinois.
Perhaps the most interesting recent announcement is the Road Trip mode, which will let you drive pickup trucks and other vehicles in the same world that has been reserved for cargo transport until now, including new reasons to drive and explore.
