Today, SCS Software announced that fans of the Freightliner Cascadia have one more thing to look forward to in the upcoming 1.55 update for American Truck Simulator.

According to the announcement, the Freightliner Cascadia 2024 will get updated interior and exterior options, and more.

Several new accessories will include a paintable airdam, a vertical exhaust system, chrome side mirrors and filter fins, and a paintable sunvisor for the sleeper variant.

Moving on to the inside of the cabin, you’ll be able to choose between a traditional gauge cluster or a more modern digital dashboard layout.

The 72″ sleeper version also received several changes in its exterior modeling, while the whole truck received bug fixes and animation updates.

You can see a few screenshots below. At the moment, the update has not been dated just yet, so we’ll have to wait and see when it goes into beta and is eventually released.

American Truck Simulator is available exclusively for PC, and it’s the sister game to Euro Truck Simulator 2.

The next DLC to launch is likely Iowa, and you can check out its fields, the truck stops, the towns, the road network, more settlements, the bridges, an Ethanol plant, and the farming industry.

We also saw plenty of gameplay showing a route from a feedmill depot near Waterloo to an agricultural facility close to Iowa City.

SCS Software also recently revealed Illinois, of which you can see the truck stops and the city of Marion. Another DLC that we know is coming is Louisiana, and we saw its truck stops, welcome centers, buildings, and some cities.

We also just saw the tease of South Dakota, although it has not yet been confirmed by name.

Perhaps the most interesting recent announcement is the Road Trip mode, which will let you drive pickup trucks and other vehicles in the same world that has been reserved for cargo transport until now, including new reasons to drive and explore.

Last, but not least, a few weeks ago, we saw the free addition of the Kenworth W900 Legacy Edition.
