Bandai Namco released the second episode of Hour Zero, the live-action prequel series dedicated to Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve.
The setting changes completely from episode 1, and we move to a hospital where a doctor played by Brandon Routh is dealing with an ethical dilemma as the tragedy of war unfolds all around him.
It’s certainly a very poignant episode, giving us a glimpse of who and what we’ll be fighting for, and even who we’ll be fighting against.

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve will release on October 2, 2026, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, following the announcement from a few months ago. It’s the latest installment of the popular Ace Combat franchise, which culminated a few years ago with Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, which has broken all sales records for the series by shipping over 7 million units, after a period in which it remained dormant.
