With the first two posts on X (formerly Twitter), the developers have started sharing new screenshots focusing on the aircraft that we’ll find in the game, likely kicking off a series of posts that will provide more clarity on the game’s lineup.

Specifically, we get to see the F/A-18E Super Hornet and the Su-57 Felon.

You can check out the screenshots below.

Each post comes with a dedicated explanation, starting with the Super Hornet.

“Introducing the protagonist’s aircraft, the “F/A-18E”!
A carrier-based fighter capable of carrying out a diverse mix of tasks from naval fleet air defense to close air support.

This vastly revised E-model exhibits superior maneuverability at medium speeds rather than high, making it incredibly effective against anti-surface attacks. Its nickname is “Super Hornet.”

The Su-57 also got its own. Interestingly, it’s clearly identified as an “Enemy.”

Introducing the mysterious enemy aircraft “Su-57”!
A cutting-edge stealth fighter designed to succeed current air superiority fighters. Based on the PAK FA program, features like thrust-vectoring nozzles result in unmatched control. Its code name is “Felon.”

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve will release in 2026 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, following the announcement from a few months ago.

It’s the latest installment of the popular Ace Combat franchise, which culminated a few years ago with Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, that has broken all sales records for the series by shipping over 7 million units, after a period in which it remained dormant.
