Yogcast Games (Dungeons and Degenerate Gamblers and Aces and Adventures) has partnered with Gamersky Games (Inn Tycoon and Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot) to bridge the gap between indie publishing worldwide. Their first two games under this partnership are Border Pioneer and Stray Path, and they’ll be playable at Steam Next Fest later this month.

Gamersky Games and Yogcast Games are indie publishers from the East and West respectively. Both groups are notable indie publishers, with Gamersky Games being one of the most influential community platforms as well. They’ve joined forces to bring great indie games to both markets using each group’s regional expertise.

Border Pioneer (Yahzj Games) and Stray Path (chx games) are the first games to come from this partnership. They were both developed in China and are releasing in 2024. Gamersky and Yogcast believe they have potential in other areas of the world as well.

Border Pioneer is a pixel-art city-building game that incorporates deckbuilding mechanics with survival and tower defense gameplay.

Stray Path is an adventure-strategy game that also features card mechanics, though they’re more similar to Freecell with roguelike aspects.

Players can get a hands-on look at both of these games at the October Steam Next Fest.

Yogcast Games’ Managing Director Simon Byron is excited to work with Gamersky Games:

“We’ve been working with Gamersky in an informal capacity for some time. I’ve always admired their work – in terms of being able to move the needle within China and beyond, they’re the best. But having flirted with each other for a while, it’s time to make it official, so we’re delighted to formalise our co-publishing relationship starting with these two launches. Border Pioneer and Stray Path are very much Yogscast Games games – and we can’t wait to help bring them to a global audience.”

Director of Gamersky Games Brandon Zhang is in agreement:

“We’ve supported Yogscast Games’ releases in China for a couple of years now and have really enjoyed working with the team and in particular their games, which have been of consistently high quality. Being able to work together on global launches will ensure we’re able to deliver global campaigns with regional expertise – and we look forward to adding more titles to our joint portfolio.”
