Pokémon TCG Pocket Debuts Dual-Type Cards and Anniversary Events
The Pokémon Company has announced that dual-type cards will debut in Pokémon TCG Pocket on October 29 with the new Dual Fusion expansion. This major update comes ahead of the app’s second anniversary, and special packs will also be added soon after the new expansion.
Players will need to come up with new strategies to make use of dual-type cards. This will be the first time that cards can have multiple element types, such as Mega Mewtwo X ex, which is a dual Psychic- and Fighting-type card, and Mega Greninja ex, which is a dual Water- and Dark-type card.
Furthermore, special packs will be introduced to the game, which can be opened using special pack stamina that recovers once a week. From October 31 until December 31, Special Pack: First Partners will feature cards that depict starter partner Pokémon.
Finally, from October 20, 2026, to October 20, 2027, players can celebrate 30 years of the Pokémon TCG by participating in special Pika! Pika! Pikachu event missions for exclusive Pikachu cards.
Helldivers 2 Gets New Anti-Cheat Measures
Arrowhead Game Studios has shared information regarding an upcoming change to Helldivers 2’s anti-cheat measures and how it may impact players and modders.
The developers will be doing two things to help protect players against mods that create unfair advantages or negatively impact others. First, they are implementing additional security measures to crack down on recent cheat mods that have been circulating. Second, they are transitioning from GameGuard to Easy Anti-Cheat starting today, with additional security tools in place.
Arrowhead Game Studios clarifies that these changes may cause some mods to no longer function, and certain cosmetic mods may require updates in order to keep working properly. The team believes these steps will help maintain fairness and integrity in Helldivers 2.
