During today’s Nintendo Indie World presentation, a release date was announced for Chucklefish and Robotality’s long-awaited magic life-sim Witchbrook. The game, which was first announced way back in 2016, will be releasing early next year on January 28, 2027.
In Witchbrook, players will enroll as a witch-in-training at Witchbrook College, located in the bustling seaside town of Mossport. There, they will need to attend classes and complete assignments in alchemy, astrology, tarot, rituals, and more. In addition to these lessons, players will be able to use their witchy skills to start a business within the community, join clubs, attend seasonal events, and other activities in the day-to-day life of a young witch student.
The game will feature a diverse cast of characters who players will be able to befriend and even romance. Each dateable character has his or her own story with a unique personality to charm. You can read about the romanceable characters that have already been revealed right here.
There will be laid-back activities too, such as birdwatching, bug-catching, fishing, gardening, and renovating a cozy woodland cottage. Additionally, players can customize their own witch character with a variety of clothing, hair, and accessory choices.
Furthermore, it was shared that Witchbrook will support up to four players in online multiplayer, so all of these activities can be done with friends.

Witchbrook will release on PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 all on the same day, January 28, 2027. The game will cost $24.99.
Chucklefish also shared some brand new screenshots to celebrate the release day announcement, which you can see in full detail below.
