Nine Rock Games has released the first major update for Way of the Hunter 2, bringing quite a bit of new content with a new ecosystem management feature, thermal optics, suppressors, and new poses for Photo Mode.
To start with, players will now be able to impact the ecosystem around them to create more optimal hunting grounds. They’ll be able to help damaged habitats, hunt invasive species, improve infrastructure in reserves, and even clean up pollution.
By doing so, players can help hunting grounds grow their population and species diversity.
Additionally, hunting is getting a few new tools as well. There are now suppressors, which give players a way to shoot more quietly than before. This means that other animals won’t be alerted as easily, and there will be more chances for follow-up shots.
There is also thermal optics to help with hunting visibility with this latest update. There’s a handheld monocular and clip-ons for firearms to choose from, giving players freedom for how they want to hunt.
Last but not least are the new poses for Photo Mode. These new poses include both the player and the dog, making for fun new ways to create memories.

Way of the Hunter 2 is in early access now on PC, while PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players can wishlist it now.
