It’s the Leipzig-Dresden, the oldest long-distance railway in Germany, and not only do we get to take a look at the new locations, but also at the locomotives that we’ll get to drive.

These include the DB BR 411 ICE-T, the ever-late BR 442, the BR 185, and the BR 146. We also see the diesel-powered DB BR 294, but you’ll get that only with the Deluxe Edition and upward.

You can take a look at the trailer below.

If you’re unfamiliar with Train Sim World 6, it’s a railway simulator that will be released on September 30, 2025, for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PS4.

As usual, players who own the game’s predecessor Train Sim World 5 will be able to simply jump into the sixth installment of the franchise via the Free Starter Pack (available until November 11, 2025), and import all the compatible routes and trains that they already own.

That being said, they’ll miss the routes included in the paid packages, like the Leipzig-Dresden Route.

Even for those who don’t have the previous game, the Free Starter Pack functions as a pretty good demo, coming with steam, diesel, and electric locomotives within the Training Center route, on top of tutorials and tasks to complete.

One of the sim’s new and most relevant additions focuses on unexpected events. This includes toggleable random events and train faults that you’ll have to deal with during the simulation.
