Today, Dovetail Games announced that the Train Sim World 6 802 BMU will be released on May 6, 2026.
Train Sim World 6 GBR Class 802 BMU add-on features the official livery for the upcoming nationalized Great British Railways system. This marks the first time a real-world livery has debuted in-game before its full nationwide rollout.
As a Bi-mode Multiple Unit (BMU), the Class 802 can operate using either overhead electric power or its onboard diesel engines. The add-on includes a handful of new scenarios:
- Flying the Flag – Take the 802 to the depot for a repaint before collecting the newly painted train and taking it out for its first service.
- Riviera Rendezvous – Take control of a special service celebrating the history of the Riviera Line while visiting historic landmarks along the route.
- Snow Stopper – Weave through track closures and delays during a cold snap in the West Country.
- Can’t Park There, Sir! – A car has caused a level crossing failure, delaying passenger services on the ECML.

It is also available for use in Free Roam and will appear via select timetable substitutions, though it is recommended that players own Riviera Line: Exeter – Plymouth & Paignton and East Coast Main Line: Peterborough – Doncaster to get the full intended experience.
A special “All Stops” timetable service has even been added in each direction on ECML: 1Z78 and 1Z79, and Riviera Line: 1Z44 and 1Z45.
Train Sim World 6 802 BMU will be available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 for $5.99 upon release.
