Today, Dovetail Games released a patch for Train Sim World 6 that focuses on core functionality across all platforms, improving quality of life and fixing significant bugs on several routes and locomotives.
For core gameplay improvements, onboard Calling At announcements have been updated to be more accurate based on the train’s stops before reaching its terminus. A scroll bar has also been added to the Mastery posters user interface, allowing players to view their full collection.
The April 2026 Train Sim World 6 addressed specific issues across a wide variety of content, from the East Coastway (Remastered) to the DB BR 147 add-on. Those changes include:
- Riviera Line: Fixed brake block audio and hiss effects; corrected fuel cap placement on ABPs.
- East Coastway (Remastered): Added new platform audio speakers with adjusted positioning and new announcement voices.
- CrossCountry Voyager Class 220: Adjusted wiper speeds and fixed an issue where cab lights were not functioning as intended.
- Cargo Line Vol. 5: Nuclear: Comprehensive FNA wagon audio overhaul and suspension updates to reduce “stiffness”.
- East Coast Mainline: Fixed transparent tree textures near the camera and resolved a Formation Designer issue with the Class 108.
- DB BR 147: Received traction motor and running sound audio overhauls, adjusted LZB tones, and corrected the spelling of “Württemberg.”
Alongside this patch, a major standalone update for the Wonders of Sodor adventure was also released, improving characters, controls, and formations.
Emily’s facial expressions have been fixed, and an issue where Gordon produced smoke even when broken down has also been resolved. The default controller settings now turn Track Rumble Vibration off by default, and formations have corrected flipped brake coaches in Express Coach formations and adjusted truck limits for Percy.
