Today, Train Sim Germany announced that its next add-on for Train Sim World 6, DB BR 145 Expert, will be released on March 13, 2026.
The latest release in the Expert series add-on focuses on high-fidelity simulation, featuring complex mechanical and electrical systems that go beyond the usual Train Sim World 6 setup, introducing several advanced systems designed for experienced players. These settings can be toggled on and off via the main menu.
Using the fully modelled engine room feature, players can navigate a detailed, interactive machine room, with access to fuses and circuit breakers to diagnose faults. Expert fault simulations feature a range of technical failures, from minor issues to serious malfunctions, requiring in-cab screens and breakers to remedy.

Train Sim World 6 DB BR 145 Expert also adds interactive couplings, allowing players to manually climb between the locomotive and wagons to connect the chain, hook, and brake pipes. These work hand-in-hand with the realistic braking and environmental physics, which simulate brake overheating and iced-over brake shoes, which can cause a loss of braking force.
The add-on even includes more advanced in-cab systems, such as a fully simulated GSM-R radio system (down to individual cell towers), an automatic Bremszettel (brake sheet) to calculate PZB data, and translated fault screens for English speakers. Locomotive variants in the pack include:
- Standard DB Traffic Red livery.
- RBH Blue livery, marking the debut of this freight brand in TSW.
- ‘NV’ Passenger Variant, featuring a detailed FT95 Passenger Information System (PIS).
Train Sim World 6 DB BR 145 Expert BR 145 will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S next week for $39.99.
