The developers of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis at Flying Wild Hog released a new video focusing on the reimagination of traversal and movement.
We hear directly from the principal developers and Lara Croft’s own actress, Alix Wilton Regan, plenty of details about what we can expect, and it’s not just words, as the video also shows quite a few bits of gameplay to accompany the description.
If you’re unfamiliar with the game, it’s basically a reimagination of the original Tomb Raider game from 1996. Considering that it’s a reimagination and not a straight remake, we get glimpses of how the developers have been adapting the old gameplay to something that will feel good and play well today.
We hear about Lara’s acrobatic moves and even the subtle ways in which the developers guide the attention of the players toward where they need to go.
Of course, there is plenty of climbing, jumping, cartwheeling, swinging around, and the moves you can pretty much expect from Lara Croft.
You can check out the video and hear directly from the developers below.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will be released for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 on February 12, 2027.
If you’d like to see more, you can check out the original reveal at The Game Awards 2025.
A fully new game in the franchise titled Tomb Raider: Catalyst is also in development at Crystal Dynamics. We know that it’s coming in 2027 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, but a firm release date has not been revealed yet.
