Riot Games has revealed the first news about Valorant Season 2026 Act 3, including a new game mode, Skirmish: Ascension, and more skins for the Kuronami collection.
To start with, the new Skirmish: Ascension game mode features both one-versus-one and two-versus-two queues (and each have their own leaderboard). Players will compete with a limited Agent pool, and each Agent only has one ability.
Plus, the weapons are chosen by the round phase. For example, pistol rounds will either be a Bandit or Sheriff, the next round will be a Guardian or Bulldog, and the rest will be a Vandal or Phantom.
As of now, the Agents and their abilities are as follows:
- Breach: Flashpoint
- Chamber: Rendezvous
- Cypher: Cyber Cage
- Iso: Contingency
- Jett: Tailwind
- KAY/O: Flash/Drive
- Omen: Shrouded Step
- Phoenix: Curve Ball
- Sage: Barrier Orb
- Veto: Crosscut
- Vyse: Arc Rose
- Waylay: Refract
- Yoru: Fakeout
The ranked ladder is just like the regular ranked ladder, though players will need to create and connect a FTW account to keep track of their place and claim their rewards.
Players can earn the following rewards:
- Play 3 games: Act 3 Key Art – Combat Ready Player Card
- Play 15 games: Homepage – Trade Me Player Card
- Ranked Gold to Platinum: Skirmish Competitor Title
- Ranked Diamond to Immortal: Skirmish Expert Title
- Ranked Radiant: Skirmish Legend Title
Skirmish: Ascension will be live in Valorant from April 29 to June 22. Players can watch the trailer for the new game mode below:
That’s not all the Valorant news today. The fan-favorite Kuronami Collection is returning with new skins for the Phantom, Operator, Ghost, and Guardian. There’s also a Kunai melee that transforms.
This collection was actually teased yesterday, with the signature storm bubble finisher and the hilt of the new melee.

New information about the Valorant Season 2026 Act 3 Battlepass, including what’s on the free and paid tracks. The Free Battlepass will include the following:
- Keys to Elysium Sheriff
- Boss Bear Spray
- Out for Blood Card (Lore Card)
- Last Light Buddy
Those who pay the 1,000 VP for the Battlepass will also receive the following:
- Keys to Elysium Melee
- Keys to Elysium Vandal
- Insidious Phantom
- Crash Out Bandit
- Outrun the Night Card
- Fearmonger Card
- Every. Single. Round. Spray
- Villain Era Spray
- Shadow Kitty Buddy
Skirmish: Ascension, the new Kuronami Collection, and the new Battlepass will go live with Valorant Season 2026 Act 3 on April 29.
