Today, Cloud Imperium Games fully revealed one of Star Citizen’s largest ships, the Anvil Odin battlecruiser, and it’s really massive.
The Odin is the second-biggest ship planned to be playable in Star Citizen, with the largest being the Bengal carrier.
It’s 752 meters long, 222 meters wide, and 213 meters tall. It’s expected to be crewed by 33 to over 65 players. It can carry 6000 SCU of cargo in its main hold and 2000 in its cargo lift.
It’s so big that it has a train inside, enabling the crew to quickly move between stations.
It has six small hangars plus one medium one, so there’s plenty of room in its belly to carry its own escorts.
The weaponry is equally impressive, including one size-12 frontal beam weapon, two size-12 triple-barreled manned main ballistic turrets, three size-10 single-barreled manned turrets, eight size-10 remote turrets, eight size-8 twin-barreled manned turrets, two size-8 quadruple-barreled turrets, 42 unmanned point-defense turrets, and 20 vertical tubes capable of launching size-12 torpedoes.
Among the interior facilities you’ll find the bridge, briefing rooms, a fire control center, a command & control center, expansive crew quarters, a cantina, a hospital, aft and forward engineering rooms, the hangars mentioned above, the cargo lift, and the main cargo hold.
If you want an idea of the size, you can check out a life-size hologram of the Odin in our latest Star Citizen video, toward the end.
Of course, there’s the caveat that the Odin is a concept ship, meaning that it isn’t playable just yet. That being said, concept ships that many expected to be impossibly large did make it into Star Citizen and are currently playable.
You can watch all the concept art below. In the video, you can hear plenty of commentary from the developers and see an exploration of the current work-in-progress model, including the interior and the exterior.

If you’re unfamiliar with Star Citizen, it’s a PC exclusive, crowdfunded project directed by Chris Roberts of Wing Commander fame. It’s a multiplayer sandbox space simulator that has been in development for over a decade and in alpha for several years. Update Alpha 4.8 has just been released.
The crowdfunding total for the game just passed one billion dollars, and it’s currently sitting at $1,002,468,532. The game currently has 6,544,453 registered accounts, but we know that not all are paying customers.
Some are alt accounts, while others are simply created to enjoy the “Free Fly” periods that fairly often let non-backers enjoy the game at no cost.
It’s notable that Star Citizen’s funding tally for 2025 has beaten all records from previous years by a large margin.
A single-player campaign titled Squadron 42 is also in active development with a recently confirmed 2026 release window, starring an exceptional cast of famous actors, including Mark Hamill, Henry Cavill, Gary Oldman, Liam Cunningham, Gillian Anderson, and more.
Since the project has been in development for over a decade, you can see how Squadron 42 has evolved since its first reveal.
