Pritto Prisoner Announces Open Beta Dates

Earlier this summer, former Dragon Quest producer Ryutaro Ichimura and developer PinCool announced Pritto Prisoner, a wacky little game that will release this winter for PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Today, it was announced that players will have the opportunity to participate in an Open Beta ahead of the game’s release, scheduled to take place from August 28 to September 9 on Steam.

To access the Pritto Prisoner, all you have to do is request access from the official Steam page. Once inside the beta, you’ll be able to experience all of the wild gameplay this chaotic party game has to offer.

Simulation Daily had the chance to learn a bit more about Pritto Prisoner behind closed doors at the Tokyo Game Show last year, and it is safe to say it is going to be one of the more interesting games to come out in recent memory. The gist of our impressions is that this is a multiplayer asymmetric escape game in which a team of animals (that you can choose among nine ultra-cute ones) strives to escape from a team of customizable robots.

Gameplay revolves around fast-paced, 4v2 games, all built around battles full of unpredictable moments, ranging from simple games of hide-and-seek to all-out brawls full of Poop bombs, pee stuns, speed boosts, and more ridiculous tricks. Kanahei also lends their unique talent to design, as Pritto Prisoner features cute, quirky animals and relentless robot wardens brought to life using their signature style.

While we don’t have an exact release date for the game quit yet, you should definetly check back for updates as we get closer to Winter. Who knows what other wacky new teases we’ll get for Pritto Prisoner and other odd games like it in the meantime.
