Playground Games has acknowledged growing criticism over its communication with the Forza Horizon 6 community, admitting it hasn’t been speaking with players as much as it should have.
In a statement shared on X, the developers apologized for the lack of communication and assured players they have been paying attention to feedback on the game’s post-launch updates. This comes as some players have expressed frustration with the structure and substance of Forza Horizon 6’s post-launch support, particularly compared with the more direct communication used during the previous games in the series.
Playground Games added that it will continue delivering regular content and fixes while also exploring potential changes to both future Forza Horizon 6 content and how it communicates with the community.
“We’re reading all your comments about Forza Horizon 6, and we realise that we haven’t been talking with you as much as we could be,” Playground Games said.
Playground Games has continued releasing regular updates, but the studio’s latest message suggests that it recognizes a need to improve how it discusses those updates and responds to community feedback.
The latest Forza Horizon 6 update, Horizon Meets, launched earlier this week with new 7-Eleven-themed content, additional vehicles, a Treasure Car, Horizon Play levels, and fixes based on player reports. Playground Games has also confirmed that the upcoming City Life update will introduce new content, including permanent race routes in Tokyo.
Playground Games has not provided specific details on what changes it is considering or when they might be introduced, so players will have to wait for further communication from the studio. The developer’s statement nevertheless acknowledges that its approach to communicating with the Forza Horizon 6 community has fallen short of expectations.
Forza Horizon 6 is currently available on Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a PlayStation 5 version still planned for release later in 2026.
