Following the announcement of the collaboration between AirAsia and Sega, and the launch of the airliner dedicated to Sonic, the second jet dedicated to Persona 5 Royal has taken a little longer in the paint shop, but it has recently entered service.

The 18-year-old Airbus A320-214 with registration 9M-AFF made its maiden flight with the new livery on November 8 and has spent this week flying relatively short domestic hops in Malaysia.

Finally, this weekend planespotters have started to take notice and the first pictures surfaced online. Below and above you can see a few, courtesy of Twitter user and Instagram users SonicHacki and Instagram users abdulhafiz380 and kodychinaviation, who captured the beautiful Persona 5 bird at Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu.

The aircraft features Joker on one side and Morgana on the other (albeit I still have not seen pictures of the right side) with the slogan “Take the Sky: take your time and enjoy your flight.”

While liveries inspired by video games are not new to the world of airliners, the most common are usually associated with the ultra-popular Pokemon franchise.

Liveries associated with other video games are certainly rarer, and it’s more than a little interesting to see one dedicated to a game that’s not exactly new. Even if we count the latest multiplatform release, it happened over two years ago.

We can only hope that artists will make this livery for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Fenix’s Airbus A320 is perfect to don this brand-new Persona 5 Royal decorations.
