Today, Astrolabe Games announced that it will publish the upcoming high-speed mecha action title Omega Phenex, originally titled Commenced Project Six, worldwide on major platforms.
Astrolabe Games is working with Japanese developer Surume Game Koubou to bring the 3D mecha action game to a global audience. Developed in Unreal Engine 5 over eight years, Omega Phenex Commenced Project Six is now available in open beta on Steam until July 25, 2026, with support for English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
Omega Phenex centers on high-speed mech combat across both air and sea. Players take on the role of an Icarus pilot, battling enemy forces and rival mechs while moving between ocean surfaces and the skies.

Combat is built around mobility, free movement, and frequent boost-powered maneuvers. Enemy attacks remain visible even at high speeds, and controls are designed to feel familiar to players of first- and third-person shooters.
Players can equip their mechs with a range of weapons, from lock-on missiles and rapid-fire guns to melee and heavy close-range options. Customization includes interchangeable parts, paint schemes, and a tuning system that lets you assign points to durability, mobility, and weapon power.
At launch, Omega Phenex will offer over 30 missions, including enemy elimination, exploration, escort tasks, and boss fights. Arena Mode lets players face off in one-on-one battles against rival mechs.
Astrolabe Games plans to continue working with Surume Game Koubou and support the current player community as the game moves toward global launch. Omega Phenex is coming to PC via Steam sometime in 2027.
