During a livestream from Japan, storied developer Nippon Ichi Software announced not one, but six games within several genres.

The first reveal is Fuuraiki 5, the fifth installment of a travel simulation series that has been going on for a whopping 24 years.

The game simulates a motorbike trip and this time around it’s set in Mie prefecture, a beautiful area in the south of the central island of Honshu.

It’ll be released in Japan on July 31, 2025, for PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. NIS America continues its weird tradition of not releasing games for PC unless they’re localized by NIS America, and unfortunately, the Fuuraiki series doesn’t usually get an English version, which is a pity and pretty much incomprehensible.

Dear NIS America, if you’re listening, it’s time to bring this West. Tourism is a lot less niche than 80% of the other Nippon Ichi games you localize.

The game has you travel around Mie prefecture during the day and spend the evenings camping while writing about what you see (the protagonist is a journalist). It features more than 100 points of interest to enjoy.

There’s even a touch of romance with heroines you’ll meet on the road, and a new feature that allows you to travel by ferry.

Incidentally, below you can check out the full livestream. While the rest of the games were showcased mostly via concept art that you’ll see in the galleries below, a few had limited animations to enjoy.

The second game is “Curse,” coming in 2024 for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. It’s a dungeon-crawling JRPG in which the protagonists have to save their city that is being consumed by a curse.

By exploring the dungeon they will be affected by various curses, but by returning to the city and having them exorcised, they can be turned into buffs. Basically, you have to make a decision on how far you go while enduring the curse, weighed against retreat.

The third game is “Gobble” (yes, they’re working titles, so they may change). It’s coming for PS5 and Nintendo Switch in 2025. It’s a side-scrolling action game that places you in the boots of a boy who teams up with a sentient scythe that can literally eat the abilities of the enemies you defeat.

The fourth game is “Kyoran,” an action RPG by the developers of the Disgaea series, coming to PS5 and Nintendo Switch in 2026.

The player is in the role of a mercenary who has to defeat monsters and bosses. While it’s an action RPG, it features familiar elements to fans like the ability to reach level 9999 and deal damage in the billions.

Back at your base you can equip yourself, level up your weapons and skills, and even convert monsters to your cause.

The fifth game is “Renzu.” It’s a horror visual novel coming in summer of 2025 for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.

You play as a reporter who writes for a magazine on the occult. As you investigate a mysterious death curse, you become cursed yourself, and you need to get to the bottom of the mystery before it kills you.

The sixth and last game is “Princess Shinigami” which is a follow-up to Nippon Ichi’s The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince and The Cruel King and the Great Hero, featuring the same adorable art style. It’s coming in 2026 for PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
