Nintendo has announced that it’ll be holding a Nintendo Indie World Showcase tomorrow, March 3.
The Nintendo Indie World Showcase should last about 15 minutes, highlighting some of the various indie projects that are coming to the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. These could be brand-new announcements, or they could be ports of indie games that have come to PC or other consoles in the past.
What the Indie World Showcase won’t detail are games that are developed by Nintendo and/or its partners, so don’t look forward to the next Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves trailer. However, that doesn’t mean all Nintendo IP is off the table — Nintendo has let indie studios use its IP in the past and then featured it in its Indie World Showcase, like with Cadence of Hyrule.
The last Nintendo Indie World Showcase was about six months ago, and there are still titles from it that have yet to be released. We may see an update for Mina the Hollower or even Witchbrook (though this was previously featured in a Nintendo Direct, it is from an indie developer, Robotality).
Fans will be able to tune into tomorrow’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase here on YouTube. It’s scheduled to start at 6 am PT/9 am ET. We’ll also have a roundup after the event with all the news and reveals from the program.
For more Nintendo news, be sure to check out the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase from last month, which showed off titles like Paranormasight: The Mermaid’s Curse and Pragmata. You can also check up on Nintendo’s most recent financials here, which revealed that the Nintendo Switch 2 has sold 17.37 million units in its first four months.
