It’s February 27, also known as Pokémon Day, and The Pokémon Company had an exciting Pokémon Presents to start 2026 with. Here’s all the news and reveals from the presentation in case you missed it.
To start with, The Pokémon Company shared a Game Music Collection for Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Blue Version. This is a small player that’s modeled after the original Game Boy. It’s available now and includes 45 different cartridges that can be switched out to hear different tracks.
Next was news about the 2026 Pokémon World Championships, which will take place alongside PokémonXP, the new fan event. Pokémon Champions (the upcoming competitive video game), Pokémon TCG, Pokémon Go, and Pokémon Unite will all be featured at the event.
Next, a teaser for a new set and potentially reprinted popular cards was shown off for Pokémon TCG. More information about these will be revealed in the future, but it will have a simultaneous global release for the first time in Pokémon TCG history.
Additionally, a new Pokémon Go Tour event starts tomorrow, and many older generation Pokémon will be more common for a limited time. There’s also a Promo code that lets players choose a Pokémon to encounter (GOTOURKALOS). Pokémon Go is available on iOS and Android.
Pokémon Masters EX also revealed the upcoming Sync Pairs, which will feature Red (1996) and Pikachu. Others include Florian (Anniversary 2026)/Ogerpon and Juliana (Anniversary 2026)/Terapagos. These will come on February 28, 2026, and March 2, 2026, respectively. Players can log in now to receive a plethora of rewards, including 3,000 Crystals.
Pokémon Masters EX is available on iOS and Android.
Pokémon Cafe Remix also updated fans, with all the starters coming to the game soon. Additionally, new Pokémon and chef outfits will be available, along with new decorations. Pokémon Cafe Remix is available on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
Pokémon Sleep is also getting new Mew Missions, starting later today. The sleep-tracking app is available on iOS and Android.
Pokémon Unite is adding Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, along with reveals for Meganium, Typhlosion, and Feraligatr. Pokémon TCG Pocket is getting a new set, Paldean Wonders, and a trailer featuring many of the new cards was revealed. There’s also a plethora of rewards players can obtain for the franchise’s anniversary.
Nintendo Switch Online members are getting Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness next month, as part of the Expansion Pack that includes the Nintendo GameCube.
Of course, Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen are available today on the Nintendo Switch. They’re available digitally now, and there are plans to add the games to Pokémon Home in the future.
Next, Pokémon Champions showed off a new trailer. The Nintendo Switch/mobile competitive battling title is set to release in April 2026, first on the Nintendo Switch and then later on iOS and Android.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A got another video for the Mega Dimensions DLC, which was released on December 10, 2025. The video shows off some of the Pokémon that were added with the DLC, including their new Mega forms. Mega Garchomp was also revealed, which players who own the DLC can obtain by claiming the mystery gift that’s available now.
Next, a new trailer for Pokémon Pokopia was shown off. Rotom (Stereo Rom) was revealed, and the new DJ Rotom will play various music from across the Pokémon universe. More Pokémon were shown off, such as Paras and Venonat, a cooking feature was revealed, and a transformation feature (which makes sense, since the player is technically a Ditto). Pokémon Pokopia is set to release on Nintendo Switch 2 on March 5, 2026.
Last but not least, The Pokémon Company revealed Pokémon Winds and Waves, the next generation of Pokémon games. This included a first look at the straters, Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua. It also revealed multiple biomes for catching Pokémon, including an underwater one for the first time in the series’ history. It’s set to release on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.
