Cities: Skylines Celebrates 11 Years With Anniversary Roadmap Alongside Cities: Skylines 2

Paradox Interactive has revealed an anniversary roadmap for a month of celebrations for Cities: Skylines and Cities: Skylines 2, as the original game celebrates 11 years of city management simulation fun.

To kick the month of celebrations off, Cities: Skylines will have a free-to-play weekend on Steam, lasting from March 5 to March 9.

Following that, on March 10, a new Race Day expansion for Cities: Skylines will be released. As the name suggests, this expansion from Tantalus Media features racing venues (which can be custom-made) and plannable running and cycling routes. Players can check out a first look at the expansion below:

On the same day, two new Content Creator Packs are also being released, Iconic Brutalism and Renewed History, as well as new station 8 Gear Radio. Additionally, a free patch will be released, adding road fences, a new Employment Info View screen, and more.

The two Creator Packs and the Race Day Expansions will be available individually or in a bundle.

On March 18, Cities: Skylines 2 joins the fun with two Content Creator Packs, Office Evolution and City Stations. There will also be two new radio stations, Smooth Vibes FM and Skyrail Radio.

Office Evolution focuses on a new look for those high-density office zones, while City Stations gives players a more expansive transport toolkit. Players can check out a trailer for the Office Evolution Creator Pack below:

These Creator Packs will be available individually or in a bundle.

At the same time, Iceflake Studios will be releasing its second update since becoming the new development studio for Cities: Skylines 2. This will improve toggle zoning and patch out some bugs, among other things.

Steam players can also enjoy new Steam Community items, like trading cards, profile backgrounds, and emotes.
