After a news-filled weekend for the gaming industry, Nintendo revealed that it would hold its Nintendo Direct on June 9, 2026, and the showcase had plenty in store for both Switch and Switch 2 players to enjoy.
To kick things off, Nintendo shared another trailer for Rhythm Heaven Groove, which is set to release on the Nintendo Switch on July 2, 2026. There will be over 80 games with different modes to choose from, including a rhythm RPG-esque mode to save the kingdom and a multiplayer mode.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword from Capcom revealed that it’ll be available on Nintendo Switch 2 when it’s released on September 25, 2026. It’s also being released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Capcom also shared that Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is being released on Nintendo Switch 2 with an expanded version. It’ll be available on October 9, 2026. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is already available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Shift Up announced that its popular RPG Stellar Blade is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 later this year. Stellar Blade is currently available on PC and PlayStation 5.
Keplar Interactive shared another look at Orbitals, a two-player intergalactic adventure game that uses Game Share. It’s set to release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 3, 2026, and players can pre-order it now.
Ubisoft shared another look at Rayman Legends Retold, which is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 1, 2026. It’s also coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Panic shared that Big Walk will let players go on a wacky adventure filled with exploration and puzzles on the Nintendo Switch 2 on August 4, 2026. It’s also set to release on PC and PlayStation 5.
Bandai Namco shared that One Piece: Grand Gourmet, the pixelated dining simulator featuring the Straw Hat crew, will be available on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 23, 2026. There will be over 400 characters from the beloved series, and it’ll also be available on PC and mobile devices (iOS and Android).
Nintendo shared the first free update for Pokémon Pokopia, which will let players dive under the water and create underwater towns. It’s set to release on Nintendo Switch 2 in August 2026.
It also revealed that an Expansion Pass for the game is being released today, which will feature three different waves of DLC. The first includes a new underwater town, which will also be available in August 2026. The second wave, which will feature new features, is set to release later this year, and wave three will bring another new town next year.
Nintendo also shared a look at Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, revealing many of the main characters and setting details. Players will be able to choose between 4 characters to play through the story with. A release date was also announced for September 17, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2.
GungHo shared that Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 exclusively in Spring 2027.
Nintendo Switch Online is also getting a limited-time DK Challenge event today. Players will be able to take on different challenges from various Donkey Kong games available on Nintendo Switch Online to unlock exclusive rewards.
There’s also a collaboration between the Donkey Kong Bananza DLC and Super Mario Brothers, with new Mario and Luigi outfits and more. It’s available in four different waves, and the first wave starts today and lasts until the end of the month. The other waves are as follows:
- Wave 2: July 14, 2026 to July 21, 2026
- Wave 3: August 4, 2026 to August 11, 2026
- Wave 4: August 25, 2026 to September 1, 2026
Shueisha Games revealed that Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton is headed to the Nintendo Switch 2 later this year. It’s also set to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
CI Games shared that Lords of the Fallen 2 is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 in Fall 2026. The game is also set to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Neowiz revealed that Lies of P: Complete Edition is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on August 6, 2026 (digitally) and October 2, 2026 (physically). Lies of P and it’s DLC is already available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition from Capcom was announced to come to the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 23, 2026. The game is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Muramasa: Revenant Blades from Marvelous, an action RPG featuring multiple different main characters, was announced. It’s set to release on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 in Early 2027, as well as PC and PlayStation 5.
Nintendo is also releasing Nintendo Switch 2 editions of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3. There’s a bit of new content added to each game as well. Each of these has slightly different release dates:
- Xenoblade Chronicles: today (digitally) and July 30, 2026 (physically)
- Xenoblade Chronicles 2: July 20, 2026 (digitally) and October 1, 2026 (physically)
- Xenoblade Chronicles 3: digitally and physically on December 3, 2026
Monolith Soft shared that a new Xenoblade Chronicles game is coming, Xenoblade Genesis. It’s set to release on the Nintendo Switch 2 next year.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is bringing 12 sports to the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22, 2026. Fans can pre-order the game now.
Next, Jagex shared that RuneScape: Dragonwilds is also coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 15, 2026. It’s also coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Hello Kitty Party Land from Bandai Namco takes players to a mini-game-filled Sanrio world with over 140 characters on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 29, 2026 exclusively.
Nintendo shared another look at the highly anticipated upcoming Star Fox game, which is set to release on Nintendo Switch 2 on June 25, 2026. A demo is available today.
Square Enix shared that Final Fantasy Resonance, the first HD 2D Final Fantasy title, is coming to the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22, 2026. It’s also coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Pikuniku 2 from Devolver Digital was officially announced for the Nintendo Switch 2, a sequel to the popular puzzle game. It’s set to release on PC as well in 2027.
Square Enix also revealed that Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World, the creature-collection and fighting game, is set to release on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 – as well as PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S – on December 3, 2026.
FromSoftware shared that a Closed Network Test of The Duskbloods is coming in Summer 2026 exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Splatoon Raiders, the solo adventure game from Nintendo, was also featured. More information about the game is coming on June 30, 2026, in the Splatoon Raiders Direct. There will also be comics leading up to the launch on the Nintendo Today mobile app, and a Special Splatfest will be available in Splatoon 3 from July 10 to July 12 to celebrate Splatoon Raiders.
Splatoon Raiders is set to release on July 23, 2026, on Nintendo Switch 2. It’s also releasing with new Joy-Con colors, blue and light yellow.
Toby Fox also revealed that Deltarune is receiving Chapter 5 on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on June 24, 2026. This is a free update that continues the story of Deltarune, and it’s also coming to PC and PlayStation 5.
Atlus shared that Metapher: ReFantazio, the RPG that won Game of the Year in 2024, is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on November 12, 2026. It’s currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Mojang Studios is also releasing a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Minecraft, which is set to release later this year. Players will be able to upgrade and bring their worlds over, too.

Square Enix shared that all three collections of Kingdom Hearts 1 through 3 are being upgraded for the Nintendo Switch 2. Additionally, a bundle of all three collections was announced as the Kingdom Hearts Collection [1~3], and it’ll be available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 8, 2026.
Square Enix also shared that Kingdom Hearts 4 is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 with a new look at the highly anticipated title. It’s also set to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Nintendo also shared that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is getting a remake that’ll be available later this year on the Nintendo Switch 2.
