Back in September, Sony revealed a free trial version of Gran Turismo 7 called My First GT was in the works as a part of PlayStation’s 30-year celebration. Today, we’ve got an actual release date for the demo, which will arrive on PS5 and PS4 on December 6, 2024 at 12:00 AM local time.
My First GT will be the first demo of the Gran Turismo series since Gran Turismo Sport held an online open beta before its launch in 2017. Players will be able to test out 18 unique cars throughout the following tracks that series veterans will know and love: Kyoto Driving Park, Deep Forest Raceway, and Trial Mountain Circuit. 
You’ll be able to complete challenges, set course records, and plenty of other gameplay elements that will transfer over to Gran Turismo 7. The demo features three Race Events, three Time Trials, three Music Rally stages, and a full list of License Tests.
PS5 players who own a PS VR2 can also experience the trial in virtual reality, as My First Gran Turismo features full VR support. Gran Turismo 7 originally released back in 2022 on Sony consoles, featuring praise for its graphics and gameplay, both of which place a heavy emphasis on realism.
Gran Turismo 7 is currently available on PS4 and PS5 for the price point of $29.39, which is discounted from its usual $69.99 cost up until 12/21/2024 02:59 AM EST. For more information on My First GT and Gran Turismo 7, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for updates.
