Today, Konami announced its financial results for the first half of fiscal year 2027, related to the period between April and September 2026.

According to the official documents, for the whole company, revenue was 307,975 million yen (up 37.0% year-on-year), and business profit was 112,088
million yen (up 72.2% year-on-year),

For the Digital Entertainment business, which includes video games and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, revenue was 243,521 million yen (up 44.3% year-on-year), while business profit was 107,483 million yen (up 75.1% year-on-year). As usual, this is the part of the business that takes the lion’s share of Konami’s earnings.

Guidance for the full fiscal year has also been revised upward, with the company now expecting to make 583,000 million yen in revenue (up from 505,000 million yen) and 200,000 million yen in business profit (up from 150,000 million yen).

This is thanks to the core titles in the Digital Entertainment business doing better than expected.

The same reason is also given for the fact that the results we’re looking at today are all records for the first half of the year.

For now, Konami is firing on all cylinders, mostly focusing on its core IPs, but it’ll certainly be interesting to see when brand-new games like Rev. NOiR and  Rhapsody in Scarlet will hit the shelves down the line.

If you’d like to compare with historical data, you can check out Konami’s financial results from the previous quarter, announced in July.

Other gaming companies have already announced their financial results this quarter, including Koei Tecmo, Capcom, and Microsoft. You can expect plenty more reports on this topic in the coming days and weeks.
