This release marks the debut of the storied Boeing-focused developer on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, which is certainly a big deal for fans of the developer and the aircraft manufacturer.

The aircraft can be purchased on PMDG’s own store only for PC. That being said, a release for PC and Xbox on the official marketplace is also coming. Incidentally, the store page also includes an extensive feature list that you may want to check out before you purchase.

The price is $77.72, and it includes both versions for MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020. You only need to purchase the aircraft once, and you get it for both sims.

While the price may surprise those of you who aren’t dedicated flight simmers, it’s fairly normal for an airliner including this level of sophistication. It’s a very complex study-level simulation that required years of research and development to create.

It comes with all three engine variants, Pratt & Whitney PW4000, General Electric GE90-94B, and Rolls-Royce Trent 895. A large number of liveries is also downloadable via PMDG’s new Operations Center 3.0, which also handles the download of the aircraft itself, unlike the developer’s previous releases.

Below, you can check out what this highly anticipated aircraft looks like in a gallery of screenshots.

PMDG also released earlier today a video showcasing the improvements made to the aircraft’s sounds compared to previous products by the developer.

We already know that PMDG will soon release the 777F freighter and 777-300ER for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (in the second half of May and a couple of weeks afterward respectively), while testing for the Douglas DC-6’s own MSFS 2024 conversion should begin in a few days.

The developer is also working on the MSFS 2024 conversion of the beloved 737NG family on top of the brand-new 747 family, which will be exclusive to MSFS 2024.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is available for PC and Xbox Series X|S. It’s worth mentioning that Fenix’s aircraft are PC exclusive.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is also available for the same platforms following its recent release in November. If you want to see the massive visual difference against Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, you can enjoy our video and screenshot comparison.

A few weeks ago, we published an extensive interview with Head of Microsoft Flight Simulator Jorg Neumann about the present situation of the sim and the plans for the future

You can also check out our in-depth analysis of how much data the simulator downloads from the cloud, clearing the air from some widespread misinformation that has made the rounds over the past few months.
