Hooded Horse has released Beta Version 0.8.059 for Manor Lords, bringing quite a bit of new content and optimizations.
To start with, there were several major changes and new things added with Version 0.8.059, which were actually discussed last month. They include the following:
- New Level Three Burgage Plot (includes new models, requirements, and effects, and the previous level three aesthetic became level four and includes new requirements and effects)
- Cobber and Baker extensions need Plot Level Three
- Settlement Level now checks Family levels instead of Burgage Plot levels
- Burgage Plot Expansion also increases Living Space by one
- New Twin Lakes map
There were several balance changes, too, which should change the pacing of the game. For example, wild animals now breed twice as fast as before, and barley and rye crops have changed seasons.
Manor Lords Version 0.8.059 brought changes to the UI and text as well. Of course, there were quite a few bugs and crash problems fixed, too.
A few aesthetic changes were made, too. These mostly help Manor Lords feel more immersive, with things like better snow coverage, more urban grass patches, and even changes to the unit selection circles to make them less distracting.
There’s also a plethora of optimizations, which Hooded Horse says can 6x the FPS gain in the largest cities. Players can check out the full patch notes here, which go into detail about the specific changes and adjustments made with Version 0.8.059.
Hooded Horse advised players to remove any mods before switching to the beta version.
Manor Lords is available on PC and Xbox Series X|S.
