During the Gundam Games 40th Anniversary livestream, Bandai Namco announced Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 3.
The third chapter of the free-to-play anime shooter franchise will release on PC and PS5 with cross-play and an English localization from the get-go.
A release date has not been announced just yet.
If you’re not familiar with the series, it’s basically rather similar to Battlefield, except for the third-person perspective. It’s set in the Gundam macro-universe (as it includes Mobile Suits from different timelines), and it features squad-based combined arms combat with soldiers and mobile suit mecha.
If that doesn’t make it instantly 100% cooler, I don’t know what could.
At launch, the game will feature Mobile Suits from the original Universal Century timeline and from Mobile Suit Gundam Seed. More will be added as the service continues and expands.
Below, you can enjoy a trailer.
