With the Crocodilia Coast expansion soon to be released for Jurassic World Evolution 3, Frontier Developments showcased its main course: five new prehistoric species.
We get to see them in action via a new trailer. Specifically, we see the Deinosuchus, the Postosuchus, the Desmatosuchus, the Styxosaurus, and the Shonisaurus.
Each of these species includes a complete family unit and also features bespoke interactions.
If you’re wondering, the prehistoric species that look like crocodiles, despite the names, are actually not crocodiles as they exist today. They’re the massive Deinosuchus. They lived in the Late Cretaceous period, around 82 to 73 million years ago.
Interestingly, the Styxosaurus juvenile also features the game’s first bioluminescent skins. That’s certainly quite useful to make them visible to your visitors while underwater.
The expansion focuses on coastal locations, letting you create waterside attractions and operations, including detailed scenery, signage, props, and Blueprints for boardwalks, waterfront huts, and more.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 is currently available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The Crocodilia Coast expansion releases on August 11, 2026, and it will be accompanied by a free update numbered 1.4.1.
