iRacing Studios and IndyCar officially revealed the upcoming game dedicated to the famous racing series, with the title IndyCar Racing The Game.
We knew that it was coming from the announcement back in August 2025, but now the title has been officially unveiled.
We also get to see two screenshots and the official logo, on top of an early 2027 release window for PC via Steam, Xbox, and PS5.
The game promises an “authentic motorsport simulation” and an “unmatched open-wheel racing experience.”

The press release includes a comment by Alex Damron, IndyCar Chief Marketing Officer.
“IndyCar features the most competitive and action-packed racing on the planet, challenging drivers at every turn with incredible speeds and demanding layouts.
Our new video game is going to capture the energy and drama of our sport with hyper-realism, bringing our series to a new generation of gamers. Partnering with iRacing — the gold standard in racing simulation — ensures this will be a truly special new chapter in our gaming history. We can’t wait for fans to get behind the wheel.”
We also hear from iRacing president Tony Gardner:
“This is a project our team has been passionate about for a long time. We’re bringing everything we know about authentic, immersive racing to consoles and PC, and creating an experience worthy of the INDYCAR name. 2027 can’t come soon enough.”
If you’re unfamiliar with iRacing Studios, its main product is iRacing, it’s a subscription-based, esports-focused racing simulation platform on PC considered by many to be one of the most realistic in the industry. It features precisely simulated cars and LIDAR-scanned tracks that reproduce their real counterparts, making it popular among many real racing drivers who use it for training.
It’s also an attractive esports platform as it features racing regulations closely related to the ones used in real motorsports to create an online esports environment that feels as professional as possible, encouraging clean racing, racecraft, and fair play over winning or placing high in the rankings.
iRacing partners with several real-world racing series and organizations, including Nascar, IMSA, the FIA, and many more.
Lately, the company launched iRacing Studios, extending its reach to console gaming and beyond pure simulation with the Nascar 25, iRacing Arcade, and IndyCar Racing The Game itself.
