Total War: Shogun 2 is known as one of the best Total War games of all time, and it’s getting a fresh coat of paint with the Complete Edition.
It’ll release on October 13, 2026, and it’ll include both the original DLCs: Rise of the Samurai, set in the Genpei War, and Fall of the Samurai, portraying the climactic Boshin War.
Those who already own the original game will receive the DLC at no cost and will gain access to a time-limited 75% discount on the Complete Edition.
The Complete Edition will come with improved visuals ad more, as follows.

- 1440p and 4K UI scaling
- Modernized controls
- More than 50 newly playable factions

- Shogun 2: Unite Japan during the Sengoku Jidai and guide your clan from regional power to Shogun through diplomacy, betrayal, and conquest.

- Fall of the Samurai: Master the clash between tradition and industrialization during the Boshin War as Japan enters the age of modern warfare.
