The Indie Live Expo Winter 2024 just ended, and its Indie Spotlight segment has tons of gems for lovers of indie games to enjoy.
With a variety of genres and a massive breadth of gameplay and art styles, the show had something for everyone.
We start with the reveal of the adventure game Sofia in Exchange for Lies, developed by Mutan.
Next is Noroi Kago: the Grudged Domain by Toydium. Interestingly, the Japanese title is Noroi Kago GeGeGe no Yoru. The game is based on the ultra-popular horror manga by Shigeru Mizuki GeGeGe no Kitaro, but the reference has been removed in the English localization, for some reason.
We learn that it’s coming in early access on January 1, 2025, and you can wishlist it on Steam.
The gambling adventure All in Abyss: Judge the Fake is next. It’s developed by Acquire and WSS playground, and published by Alliance Arts is next.
It’s coming on April 10, 2025, on Steam.
We stay with Alliance Arts and developer UnknownX for the Touhou Project tabletop-style RPG Marisa of Liartop Mountain. You can wishlist it on Steam and it’s coming in 2025.
Yet, a demo is out now so you can already play it.
Next is the super-cozy management sim with ASMR elements Kemono Teatime by Studio Lalala. You can wishlist it on Steam.
The adventure game set in India Detective Dotson (by Masala Games) is next on the menu, and for this, we get the announcement of the release date. It’s coming to Steam on April 3, 2025.
WSS playground revealed the typing game Needy Streamer Overload: Typing of The Net coming on January 21, 2025 for PC via Steam.
We move on to turn-based strategy games and we return to Alliance Arts, alongside WSS playground and oneoreight with The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lilly.
It’s coming in Spring 2025 to Steam and a demo is available now.
On the front of action games, we take a look at the Metroidvania Blade Chimera by Team Ladybug and WSS playground. You can wishlist it on Steam and it’s also coming to Nintendo Switch on January 16, 2025.
The next world premiere is an adventure game with a massive title by Caramel Column. Try to say it all in one breath: “Prolegomena To a Hyperdimensional Interface That Will Be Able to Manifest From Three-Minute Interchanges.”
One more game published by Alliance Arts and developed by WSS playground and Who You is the cute rhythm game Yunyun Syndrome!? Rhythm Psychosis.
You can wishlist it on Steam.
