Today HoYoverse revealed a new character who will become playable in Honkai: Star Rail down the line, Sunday.
The reveal was made on X (formerly Twitter) as usual for characters that tend to be two updates away.
Sunday will be an Imaginary character following the path of Harmony, and if precedent is any indication, he will become playable during the cycle of version 2.7
He’s part of the Extraterrestrial Satellite Communication and he’s described with the following blurb:
“There’s always a paradise that needs to be built. That vow is like the sun in the sky — perhaps I’ll melt and fall before reaching it… But some hardships I must endure.”
The dream of the Order has dissipated, yet there are still those who will not give up on their original intent. — The traveler whose wings were clipped… whereto shall his footsteps lead?
You can check out what he looks like in the official artwork below.
On top of the reveal of Sunday, we also learn on X that version 2.6 will be fully revealed during a live stream on October 11 at 19:30 (UTC+8). Among other things, including events and the release date, we will hear more about the version’s expected new character, Rappa.
The update will be titled “Annals of Pinecany’s Mappou Age.”
Honkai: Star Rail is available for PC, PS5, iOS, and Android. The game is currently on update 2.5 and it’s free-to-play. Of course, like with most free tom play games., there are still plenty of optional microtransactions, many of which intended to make unlocking more characters like Sunday easier.
If you’re interested in HoYoverse games in general, the developer will release version 5.1 of its popular action RPG Genshin Impact in two days, on October 9
