Today, Polyphony Digital unveiled details for Gran Turismo 7 update 1.69, which will be released for free tomorrow, April 23, 2026, and will add three new cars, three new events, and a new Power Pack feature.
The first car in the update is the 1993 Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau (964), a rare, weight-stripped classic limited to just 86 units in real life. It boasts upgraded cams, a special turbine, lightweight body panels, and 375.7 BHP, cementing its place among the rarest 911s.
The next vehicle is the 2024 Yangwang U9, a Chinese electric supercar from BYD, featuring four motors and delivering roughly 1,286 BHP. Despite its size and weight, the U9 launches from 0–62 mph in just 2.36 seconds, combining hydraulic and pneumatic systems to actively control body motion and deliver exceptional stability and control.
The final addition is the 1993 Renault Twingo, a practical, lightweight French compact car popular for its quirky 90s design. The compact car delivers exceptional interior space despite its modest footprint, with power from a transverse-mounted 1.2-liter inline-four, well-suited to the car’s light weight and urban mission.

Three new racing events have been added to the World Circuits menu to accommodate the new vehicles, including:
- Schwarzwald League – Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve
- Hypercar Parade – Yas Marina Circuit
- World Touring Car 900 – Autódromo de Interlagos
For players who own the Power Pack DLC, new Power Pack Challenges have also been added as of Gran Turismo 7 update 1.69. For weekly rewards, you’ll be able to complete three full-weekend-experience races to earn rewards similar to base game Weekly Challenges.
Boosted earnings challenges allow DLC owners to potentially earn up to 1.6 million credits per week, significantly speeding up the accumulation of funds for expensive “Legend Cars.” Races will also continue to utilize the advanced Gran Turismo Sophy 3.0 AI for more realistic racing behavior as of the update.
Other quality-of-life additions include a new car collection task is available for players to complete for rewards in the Café Extra Menu and a new “Move the Camera Up and Down III” curation, offering more vertical camera flexibility in photo mode.
Gran Turismo 7 is currently available for PS5 and PS4. Polyphony Digital has been updating it regularly since its launch in March 2022.
