Cyberpunk 2077’s Edgerunners 2 update 2.5 is out now on most platforms, and CD Projekt Red has shared details about all of the features it contains. This is the latest free update to the game with a wealth of new story content, customization, and technical support.
One of the biggest additions is a new side quest called Clampdown, which is set before the events of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. To unlock it, players will need to finish The Heist and two gigs for Wakako, then wait for her message. During this quest, players can obtain a five-piece gear set based on the character King. There’s also a new radio station that features a selection of tracks from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners series.
Another new side quest called Welcome to Paradise! takes players on a journey to uncover a mystery and explore Night City on a guided tour narrated by Richard Night. This unlocks after completing The Heist and reaching level 15 Street Cred.
The update adds a lot of customization options to the game. Five new outfit sets are available from various clothing vendors across Night City, with a sixth arriving later, and the NUS Infiltrator set can be bought in Kabuki and Japantown. Some hairstyles that were previously exclusive to NPCs can now be used by V, and players can now customize the look of hand cyberware at five Glamdoc locations.
The new Double Trouble perk in the Cool tree introduces a new playstyle, allowing players to dual-wield pistols and revolvers from the Power category.
The new update also introduces cross-platform mod support through mod.io, allowing players to browse and install player-created mods directly from the in-game menu.
Quality of life improvements include saves grouped by playthrough, item filters for stashes, a dedicated icon for modded saves, and a field-of-view slider on consoles. FSR 3 upscaling has been removed, while FSR 2.1, FSR 4, and FSR 3.1 Frame Generation remain. There are also plenty of technical improvements in the update, including support for DLSS 4.5, performance optimizations, and improved HDR rendering.

The update is out now on PC, Mac (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Players on Nintendo Switch 2 and Mac (Mac App Store version) will receive the update in the next few days.
