Today, HoYoverse announced that Genshin Impact Version Luna 8 will launch on July 1, 2026.
Genshin Impact Version Luna 8 sees players reunite with Sandrone, the Seventh of the Fatui Harbingers, who is making her debut as a new 5-star playable character following her previous sacrifice against The Doctor. You’ll accompany her on a journey to the moon in a brand new adventure, which also introduces a new Cryo-Electro elemental reaction.
The new reaction, known as Stellar-Conduct, creates a Polestar Field that stores elemental energy and provides buffs. The field increases Stellar-Conduct damage, boosts Cryo and Electro damage for nearby characters, and lowers enemies’ Physical Resistance. Some existing Cryo and Electro characters will receive unique bonuses within the field.

Sandrone’s abilities center on the Stellar-Conduct mechanic. She commands Fagio, an autonomous construct that deals Stellar-Conduct damage and builds Decoding Power.
Players can manage Fagio’s output, prevent overload, and trigger artillery attacks with her Elemental Burst. Sandrone will be available in the first phase of Character Event Wishes alongside Citlali, with Columbina and Raiden Shogun featured in the second phase.
While exploring the new moon region, players can traverse under a lunar sea, an orbital space station above Teyvat, and ancient dragon ruins. Genshin Impact Version Luna 8 also adds gravity manipulation mechanics, new traversal options, and a layered map system for improved navigation.
A permanent Fontinalia Film Festival event will be added aboard the Wingalet in Fontaine, featuring Charlotte, Citlali, Sandrone, and Columbina, including aquarium management, festival activities, and new story content. Players can earn Charlotte for free and unlock a new outfit, while Citlali’s outfit will be available at a limited-time discount.
Additional features include new dance challenges in Natlan, updates to Genius Invokation TCG, summer-themed content in Miliastra Wonderland, and expanded creation tools for Craftspeople.
