HoYoverse’s Genshin Impact Version Luna 7 Special Program has aired, revealing the story’s return to Sumeru, the new playable characters, upcoming events, and more.
To start with, the Traveler will be returning to Sumeru as the Fatui seem especially interested in Sumeru City. Additionally, as Genshin Impact set up years ago when players first experienced Sumeru, Dottore is especially interested in Irminsul, which is located in the Nation of Wisdom. With the return to Sumeru comes the main Sumeru cast and Nefer as well, who players learned is from Sumeru back in Version Luna 2.
Because the Archon Quest will be returning to quests that were first released years ago, a new Guinding Notes feature is being introduced to give players a recap of past quests. Other quality-of-life changes include a new autosave icon and a search function in the middle of dialogue to get refreshed on terms and characters that are being discussed.
On the flip side, there are impacts of Dottore still being felt in Monstadt, which is where at least one of the new playable characters will be. Genshin Impact Version Luna 7 introduces Nicole, Lohen, and Prune.
Nicole is a five-star Pyro Catalyst user and the first of the mages of the Hexenzirkel to become playable. She’s a support character who can give allies an attack bonus with her Elemental Skill, while her Elemental Burst summons a projection of the on-field character that deals Coordinated Attacks. These attacks change depending on the Elemental Type of the character, along with gaining even more buffs with the Hexerei: Secret Rite effect.
Additionally, when Nicole is out of combat, she can summon a Seelie that leads the player to treasure around the map.
Lohen is the other five-star character coming with Genshin Impact Version Luna 7, a Cryo Polearm user. His Elemental Skill puts him in Masterstroke state, which lets him build up and use Joy to enhance his skills. He also builds up Will to Win as his allies are on the field, which also enhances his damage. Lohen works especially well with Hexerei characters, too.
Prune is also joining the roster as a four-star Anemo Catalyst user. She alternates between using a bell and a hammer to deal Elemental Damage and trigger Swirl reactions.
Nicole and Prune will be featured on the Phase 1 banner, alongside Durin, while Lohen will be on the Phase 2 banner with Mavuika.

A Story Quest for Lohen will also be in Version Luna 7, along with opening the Witch’s Lodge for Nicole’s Meeting Point: The Witch’s Garden.
Players can also look forward to a new event with Klee’s Little Hexenzirkel, featuring the tiny mage herself, Qiqi, Yaoyao, Sayu, and now Prune (which is bound to be funny, as the new four-star character is a self-proclaimed Witch Hunter). The event will feature mini-games, and players can obtain a new weapon appearance alongside other rewards.
There will also be new additions to Genius Invokation TCG and Repertoires of Myriad Melodies. Additionally, the rewards for To Tempher Thyself and Journey Far rewards are being extended past the eight-week rewards each time.

Milliastra Wonderland is also getting updated with an elegant butterfly theme, introducing a sports festival. Additionally, Manekins will be able to do more actions around Teyvat, and more tools are being added to the editor.

As always, the Genshin Impact Version Luna 7 Special Program has a few codes for players, which are valid until May 11, 2026, at 12:00 am (UTC-4):
